The 2nd Strings started as nothing more than a group of friends spending Sunday afternoons together. All sharing a love for traditional bluegrass, they started to learn to pick. Amazed at how spending the entire day on one tune could be so much fun, they continued to play and expand on a repertoire of bluegrass standards as well as traditional songs. The Sunday afternoon sessions soon turned from entertaining themselves to entertaining others. After many moving parts, the original quintet is together playing Bluegrass as best as a couple 2nd Strings can do.
