Music Appreciation Series

A dazzling array of musical talents will be showcased throughout the season during these hour-long programs, organized by John Beutel and sponsored by the Stoughton Area Senior Center. All Music Appreciation events are free and open to the public.

The Stoughton High School Music Department strives to provide many opportunities for students to make music as a part of their school day and beyond.  Participation in the annual WSMA Solo & Ensemble festival gives students in Band, Choir, and Orchestra the opportunity to learn the art of music making both alone and with small chamber ensembles.  The students performing in this afternoon’s program participated in the district Solo and Ensemble festival held on March 4 and many of these performers have been selected to perform at the state Solo and Ensemble Festival held at UW Whitewater later this April.  Please join us for a program showcasing the musicianship and hard work of these students.
